in my back yard
took my glasses off while outside this afternoon. felt like a filter you’d use on a lens. or - these days - an app. the grass was really beautiful. i couldn’t see each individual strand, and the pieces blurred together. yet the sunshine cascaded just the same. it’s funny.. i’ve been given glasses and contacts so i can see just like everyone else, but no one can see what i see without them. when i’m not driving or working or trying to find something, it’s nice to live life a little blurry. i kind of like it.
